……The creation of a full FASHION MAGAZINE of 80- 100 pages together the writing form the seminars, fashion history topics covered in studio lectures and students interest sparked by current events and social justice issues.

THE STUDIO works feverishly’ to complete this thirteen week individual project which allows space to interpredate parameters and creative flow as well as production scheduling

… ‘Text as image, and the image of text’ is all part of the project requirement of the successful integration of image and text. There were a number of students who explored analog film from vintage cameras to parents basement camcorders. This was the first time I introduced an alternative option of making a shorter magazine and producing a short fashion film as well to launch the student’s magazine.

CREATIVE DIRECTION OF TOIPIC PROVIED BY STUDIO LEADER SELECTED VIA LOTTERY ….An example of topics included Irving Penn’s 1950 Black and White issue of Vogue Magazine, American painter Andrew Wyeth’s Helga and Christine, The 1969 film “They Shoot Horses Don’t They” , Fashion Activist and pioneering Black model Bethann Hardison, “chemise à la reine,” Parsons alumnus Gilbert Adrian to post WWII Italian industrialization “Made in Italy” …. social and issues of identity were also a strong visual and written narrative….This was also the first term I had guest critics form faculty to GQ, Wall Street Journal and working former students in fashion and fashion marketing.
